We can finally put the bummer past weeks behind us and see the bright future starting with Jon "the hotness that he is" Bon Jovi. No Sanjaya, no sad starving kids, just some good music and hot performances...I hope.

Even the new one...Have a Nice Day could have been better than this. If I'm being totally honest, I didn't like this performance. I think she looks awkward and she did exactly like BJ said she would. I'm giving her 3.5 carries. Sorry Jordin. I know that you were really busy this week writing songs for YOUR album when YOU are a superstar and dump the Idol Tour and get on with your stellar stardom. Simon picks on her hair. Well, gotta give it for Jordin for taking credit for not her best week. Love her. Jordin got the same pit in her stomach I had...we are so sympatico. KiKi - Obviously on Jenny Craig and losing weight is proud of her "slim side" You GO Girl. Never heard of BJ. Sounds like she found a good song. Right off the bat, I can tell you I'd buy this song as a single. I like it alot. KiKi is hot tonite. She looks hot too. Chills. Great, Great performance. You can hear the crowd crescendoing with her. She is working like a hooker on Sunset. Oh, that's not nice. KiKi ain't no hooker. KiKi is a SINGER. 4.5 Carries. She was hot. Randy- liked it. Sold him. Pauler - got her sumpin' sumpin'. SImon - sexually harrassing to get some sumpin' sumpin. Like kisses KiKi. Oh Lord, I've seen it all now. Simon - 3 Constantines for that pucker. And keeping on that nice lips chattin'. what a pervo.
Blake - Oh boy. Blake has dyed his hair. Good JOB. He looks almost like Nick Lachey a bit. I think Nick is hot. That highlight shit is over, thank god. BJ is talking rolling the dice. Now didn't he just say he isn't a gambling man. Well, he sure uses a lot of Casino metaphors. 2 rolling the dice comments and BJ is "wondering" about Blake's choice.

Melinda, she got the song that I wanted Jordin to have. DAmmit. She's doing a good job. She even looks good. Dammit. This doesn't bode well for Jordin. Before I close tonite, shout out to Ronda and Aimee, who involuntarily spent some lunchtime in a 2 person focus group giving their opinion to what I blog on in the off-season. I'm floating some ideas around and would love to know what will keep you all coming back this summer. Of course, we will track the tour, report on arrests, record sales, I'll give a blow-by-blow on my attendance to see Kelly Clarkson in San Jose with my friend Sara and her squeeze Anthony (they don't know it yet). It's going to be a bit different...I may have a guest blogger. I'm keeping it to myself a bit longer, but it's perculating.

Damn Chris sucked tonight. I much preferred Daughtry's versio from last season. Watching Jordin, I kept waiting for the one part where she kicked ass, but it never happened. I'm kinda wishing Gina was here to sing tonight.

I see you liked Blake's performance as much as I did. That truly was cool and a much needed refreshing performance. Just when you thought you knew what was coming next.
Don't worry, our girl, "Jordin" isn't going anywhere. If she does, she's this year's "Daughtry"...and he doesn't seem to be doing bad ;)
Somebody does have to go though, it probably will be Chris and Phil as you said.

Cole, I think you may have to start preparing for Jordin's depature, if you like I can refer you to a really good counseling program. Similar to the one that helped you get over Shawn Cassidy. It will be okay, she will be just fine if things don't work out on AI. Just remember to breathe. Blake was great. I'm glad he brought back his originality. He can put a spin on anything. That is why he is going to win this thing. Simon must not be getting any love at home so he is pimpin on Kiki. I still think it's her and Chris going home tonight. Holler at ya later Tex.
I think that statistically, Jordin is pretty much safe no matter what. I feel pretty certain she was either #1 or #2 in votes last week, and even assuming the votes were balanced (and I'm sure they weren't), 2/3 of that vote is what counts for tonight's kiss-off. So...I'm thinking so long Kiki, so long Chris. Kiki can be happy she went out on a relative high note, but I don't think the disaster from the last two, really three weeks is enough to save her.
Jordin pulled a Kat McPhee on Elvis night (and don't hate me for loving Kat -- I love Kat, but she sucked during Elvis night), but she acknowledged her crappiness (like Kat) and someone will go in her place.
Blake was uneffing believable. Melinda had the best vocal of the night (what else is new) and she was fan-fucking-tastic, but Blake's performance was one I would watch over and over again. In fact, I did that about five times before I left this morning...and I would watch it again now if I weren't in a class with 20 other people, pretending to take notes on stuff I already know. Blake went total Brian Transeu (BT) on that shit, and it was awesome. I love Bon Jovi way more than most people my age (and I get shit for it every few years when a new album comes out and I have to out myself as a fan), and Blake totally made that song awesome.
Chris is going home. He should have performed "Runaway" and just been done with it. Why take on both Daughtry AND JBJ? Bye bye.
Phil was fine. Phil is safe. My mom had a bizarre flash that showed Phil and Melinda at the finals...we're both hoping she's wrong about that.
