Beauty and the Beat

Isn't she lovely...isn't he goofy? It's like the most mismatched pair. She stands about 14 inches above him. He's standing on a box here. I know it. He and Ryan are the same size and Jordy towers over Seacrest. Maybe he should wear a top hat in their future press photos! Like a Cat in the Hat sized hat. hee hee. I wish I could do some photoshop and plug that onto his head. CHRIS? You can do it, and I'll post it...'kay? And don't be poutin' cuz you lost the office pool. You just got married. Ride the wave of that honeymoon for a while. And you picked correctly for like 6 straight weeks. You rock!!! You just FAILED by not getting on the Jordin train early on, like me. SAW-ree.

You know I was on that train early too ;)

I have a friend at work who's mad at me for voting for Jordin "200 times". He says that I'm a cheater for doing that and that Jordin is only winning on "looks". Of course, I totally disagree with him. If I was only a "Looks Voter" I would have voted for "Haley", she really got my attention ;) BUT, I did NOT vote for her, because she wasn't as good a singer as our Jordin.

Anyway, my friend is just mad that Melinda left. Of course, this is the same friend who actually thought that "Sanjaya" was the best entertainer on there this season and is the most "popular" idol of all time. He thought Sanjaya should have been in the top three.

He keeps on telling me that he's upset with me.

...really anoying.

Plus, it all depends on how strong your switchboard is -- if you are calling from a cell phone near a good tower with a good switchboard (or if you live in Atlanta and thus have access to the company formerly known as BellSouth's mega hub of phone boards), you might not encounter a busy signal more than once every 15 - 20 calls. I don't usually vote, but for the past few weeks, I've just hit redial on my cell phone during the act of House...and I choose the last number listed, because it's usually the least busy option. Go Blake!

So we both got our wish Cole -- although I'm sad Melinda's not there. Oh, and I'm thisclose to winning my Idol pool ouright. I already got a bonus for Top 4 and Top 3...but man, if Blake can pull it out..well, Mama's new MacBook is going to get a Tumi messenger bag case.

Cole--I think we need to employ some bonus points for top 4 and 3 in our pool like Christina's!

I am pulling for Blake for my own greedy reasons, but I would really like to see Jordin win. She is so cute and deserves it. AND I've been to that mall where she used to work. I've spent many a $$ there.

Little bit of Idol trivia info.

Jordan Sparks is 5'10" tall. I'm 5'11" on a good day. So, with her hair and definitely with her heels, Jordin is as tall as me!

Just thought you'd like to know ;)

...Ok, here's some more.

Jordin won a competition in 2006 to be a plus-size model for "Torrid". One of the ads was featured in a "Seventeen" magazine issue. This information provided by "Answers.com".

A few more tidbits I've found at "Answers.com".

Sparks is the daughter of former NFL football player, Phillippi Sparks.

She appeared in "America's Most Talented Kids" twice in 2004 and won in her first appearance. She was one of seven to appear in a special championship edition of the show.

Jordin Sparks is a national anthem soloist, performing for various sporting events such as the Phoenix Suns, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Arizona Diamondbacks. She also sung in such events as Country Thunder, a famous country music venue.

She recorded a five song album titled "For Now" in 2003, at the age of thirteen with Matthew Ward, a legendary Christian music artist and Gary Leach, an engineer who has worked on several of LeAnn Rimes' albums.

She appeared in a compilation album titled Live at Mr. Lucky's in 2004. Sparks is in the process of writing and performing new material.

Check out the "poll" on the right hand side of this page

You can help pick their "idol" cover for whoever wins.

CHAD, THAT WAS AWESOME. Best of all was the picture of Kelly Clarkson and the article that follows. I'll post it tomorrow. Tired now.

I voted for Image 1 and Image 1 on the EW covers.

Cole,
I voted for the same!
