Daughtry album to be expanded
As if 4 million-plus sales weren't enough, Daughtry's self-titled debut album will undergo a makeover Sept. 9, adding plenty of new CD and DVD content. (This is a common ploy among pop superstars -- Usher, Rihanna, Chris Brown, etc. -- but I'm pretty sure this is the first Idol album to get the deluxe treatment.)
Four new tracks will be added: the acoustic What About Now from Idol Gives Back and an acoustic treatment of Home, a live version of It's Not Over, plus a cover of Foreigner's Feels Like the First Time, being used in CNN's League of First Time Voters campaign.
The added DVD has videos for the five Daughtry singles (Home, It's Not Over, Feels Like Tonight, Over You and What About Now) plus concert performances and interview footage. Proceeds from the What About Now video are earmarked for a host of charities, and Daughtry will also be promoting the ONE poverty-awareness campaign (featured heavily on IGB) at both political conventions and elsewhere.
Got this off USA Today website. Pretty nice. Go Chris...
